Max Richtman at TheHill.com writes that Congressman John Larson hopes to pass the Social Security 2100 Act to provide aid for seniors in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Unfortunately, seniors have been especially impacted – including economically. Our elected officials must take action.

Luckily, Rep. Larson told Richtman, “if we can afford to bail out [large corporations], we can also afford to give back to seniors.”

Larson’s bill, the Social Security 2100 Act, will “boost benefits 2 percent across the board to all 64 million Americans receiving Social Security.”

We must protect seniors and guarantee the benefits they earned. Thankfully, if passed, the Social Security 2100 Act will aid seniors right when they need it most.

However, we need all the citizen support we can gather to make the will of the American people clear to our elected officials.
